- Solid knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations
- Relevant technical diploma or trade qualification in civil engineering or construction
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Previous experience working in the Middle East or on large scale infrastructure projects preferred

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site role for a General Foreman – Road Infrastructure based in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
- The General Foreman will oversee day to day site operations on road construction and maintenance projects, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
- Responsibilities include planning and assigning tasks, monitoring progress, checking quality of workmanship, and ensuring adherence to project drawings, technical standards, and safety regulations.
- The role involves supervising the use and maintenance of heavy equipment, managing materials on site, resolving site issues, and providing clear instructions and feedback to the workforce.
- The General Foreman will also support site reporting, including daily logs, productivity records, incident reports, and coordination with site engineers, project managers, and HSE teams.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task allocation, performance monitoring, and mentoring on site personnel.
- Hands on experience with heavy equipment typically used in road construction (e.g., excavators, graders, rollers), as well as basic equipment maintenance oversight.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with workers, subcontractors, engineers, and management, and for preparing clear daily site reports.
- Practical understanding of carpentry and related civil works as applied to road infrastructure (formwork, minor structures, and ancillary works).
- Experience in road infrastructure maintenance, including inspection of road conditions, planning repair works, and ensuring safe traffic management around work zones.
- Proven background in road or civil infrastructure projects, ideally in a foreman or senior supervisory role.
- Solid knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations, with a commitment to enforcing HSE standards on site.
- Relevant technical diploma or trade qualification in civil engineering, construction, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Previous experience working in the Middle East or on large scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
