Responsibilities
- Own legal functions across DTC e commerce regulatory compliance, hedge fund subscription and custody documentation, and multi jurisdictional legal structuring
- Deliver monthly legal exposure audits directly to the CEO
- Run quarterly compliance sweeps across all consumer facing surfaces
- Negotiate LP terms alongside fund documentation reviews
- Manage outside counsel relationships across assigned domains
- Audit checkout flows against FTC guidelines
- Coordinate cross border asset protection structuring
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school; barred in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5 to 10 years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in house roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple outside counsel relationships simultaneously
- Comfort operating with high autonomy and minimal oversight
- AI fluency: actively uses AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) for legal research, drafting, and risk identification
- Proven track record of proactively identifying legal risks that were not assigned
- Comfort working across multiple international jurisdictions and coordinating cross border legal work
- Independent judgment: you act on what you see, not what you're told to look at

Role Overview
- Seeking a US bar holder General Counsel to strengthen in house legal function across three workstreams: DTC e commerce, family office, and cross border structuring.
- Reports directly to the CEO, manages outside counsel, and owns key legal surfaces including FTC compliance, fund subscriptions, custody protocols, and cross border asset structuring.
What You'll Do
- Own three distinct legal domains: DTC regulatory compliance, fund documentation, and cross border structuring.
- Deliver monthly legal exposure audits directly to the CEO.
- Run quarterly compliance sweeps across all consumer facing surfaces.
- Conduct quarterly fund documentation reviews.
- Negotiate hedge fund side letters and coordinate cross border asset protection structuring.
What You'll Need
- JD from an accredited law school; barred in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5 to 10 years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in house roles.

Compensation & Benefits
- Up to USD $220,000 per annum + up to 10% Monthly Performance Bonus.
- Total Annual Package up to USD $246,800 + Comprehensive Benefits.
