About the Role
Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital is seeking a General Aide to provide support services to patients and staff, including patient transfers, courier duties, and assistance in outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities
- Transfer or accompany stable ambulatory patients or those in wheelchairs, with or without an escort
- Transport sick or unstable patients on beds or wheelchairs between departments, accompanied by a nurse or physician as required
- Assist with movement of dependent patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers
- Support movement of medical equipment used during patient transfers between floors and units
- Act as a courier for transporting specimens, medications, blood, equipment, paperwork, mail, reports, and medical records
- Collect and deliver supplies and materials from storage areas to concerned floors and units
- Assist with completion of discharge work and escort discharged patients to their cars in wheelchairs
- Provide patient education on infection control and fall prevention
- Follow all isolation policies as instructed by the Unit Manager based on infection control policies and procedures
- Participate in environmental checks and purposeful rounds, inform Unit Manager of any non compliance with safety standards
- Check vacant rooms for admission readiness using Room Readiness checklist
- Remain presentable in station, answer call bells, and inform Charge Nurse of patient requests

Job Purpose
- To offer support services to patients and staff to enhance patient flow and service efficiency across all departments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Transfer or accompany stable ambulatory patients or those in wheelchairs, with or without an escort.
- Transport sick or unstable patients on beds or wheelchairs between departments, accompanied by a nurse or physician as required.
- Assist with movement of dependent patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Support movement of medical equipment used during patient transfers between floors and units.
- Act as a courier for transporting specimens, medications, blood, equipment, paperwork, mail, reports, and medical records.

Outpatient Clinic Duties
- Facilitate patient flow for physicians in the assigned clinic.
- Act as a chaperone in the clinic setting and direct patients to different areas of Fakeeh Healthcare facility as needed.
- Assist with transfer of dependent patients to and from examination beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Assist with portering duties as needed within the outpatient department.
- Assist in patient assessment (checking of height and weight) as per competency.
