About the Role
Object 1 Real Estate is seeking a General Accountant to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves maintaining day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring VAT compliance, and supporting audits.

Responsibilities
- Maintain day to day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with month end and year end closing
- Process invoices, payments, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and company policies
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting
- Support internal and external audits
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (real estate experience is an advantage)
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
