- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector, focusing on air, ocean, and road transportation
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their logistics needs and offer tailored solutions
- Generate and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets, ensuring consistent business growth
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and seamless customer experiences
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company’s sales goals and objectives
- Pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities
- Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives
- Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients
- Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and securing new business in freight forwarding or logistics
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high level client relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and close large scale deals
- Results oriented mindset with strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (written and verbal)
- Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills
- Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage

Role Overview
- The Business Development Manager supports the commercial growth of Freight Forwarding business by bringing new customers on board and additional business from existing customers whilst managing multiple relationships internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
