- Oversee complete factory operations, production workflows, and supply chain logistics
- Manage the financial health of the business, including budget development, cost control, and forecasting
- Ensure that all metal fabrication and manufacturing processes comply with international safety standards and strict quality control measures
- Recruit, mentor, and manage department heads, including production supervisors, sales engineers, and project managers
- Develop and execute growth strategies to expand market share across sectors like construction, infrastructure, or interior fit outs
- Build and maintain long term relationships with key industry stakeholders, developers, consultants, and contractors
- Lead the commercial and technical evaluation of bids; negotiate profitable contracts and close high value sales
- Identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new product opportunities within the industrial metal and structural steel sectors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. Tech) in Mechanical / Civil Engineering / MBA
- 10+ years of proven experience in a similar field (light steel/aluminium fabrication)
- Proficient in Operation of Steel / Aluminium Fabrication plant
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication codes and standards
- Sound understanding of fabrication techniques and welding processes including SMAW/GMAW/SAW welding, and GAS cutting
- Exceptional project management and data analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic mindset & long term vision capabilities
- Capable of problem solving, decision making and failure analysis

Job Overview
- We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial General Manager Cum Business Development Manager (Light Steel/Aluminium) Fabrication Industry (DIC Dubai). Applicant must have good organizational skills as well as ideal candidate should have a strong background in the field of Architectural Metal
Revenue Generation & Client Management
- Develop and execute growth strategies to expand market share across sectors like construction, infrastructure, or interior fit outs.
- Build and maintain long term relationships with key industry stakeholders, developers, consultants, and contractors.
- Lead the commercial and technical evaluation of bids; negotiate profitable contracts and close high value sales.
- Identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new product opportunities within the industrial metal and structural steel sectors.
Facility Operations & P&L
- Oversee complete factory operations, production workflows, and supply chain logistics.
- Manage the financial health of the business, including budget development, cost control, and forecasting.
- Ensure that all metal fabrication and manufacturing processes comply with international safety standards and strict quality control measures.

Additional Responsibilities
- Capable of identifying costs such as indirect, direct, fixed, variable, capital etc in order to arrive at actual unit cost of production.
- Standardize an appropriate organization structure for the factories to enhance efficiency.
- Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Reviews factory reports to ensure safety, quality, financial and delivery goals and standards are met.
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with rules and regulations.
- Track the man hours Vs budgets.
- Assists Operating officer with operating goals, expansion efforts and implementation of new and advanced technology.
- Identifies and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
- Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
- Supervises equipment purchases, maintenance and layout.
- Develop projections reports and indicate KPI, s for upper management to monitor financial and production productivity better.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. Tech) in Mechanical / Civil Engineering / MBA.
- 10+ years of proven experience in a similar field.
- Proficient in Operation of Steel / Aluminium Fabrication plant.
- Achievement of annual revenue targets and gross profit margins.
- Value of new contracts signed and successful conversion rate of technical bids into confirmed orders.
- Previous experience in a related manufacturing industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication codes and standards.
- Sound understanding of fabrication techniques and Welding process including SMAW/GMAW/SAW welding, and GAS cutting.
- Exceptional project management and data analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic mindset & long term vision capabilities.
- Capable of problem solving, decision making and failure analysis.
