Role Overview
Manage freight forwarding operations from booking through billing and shipment closure.
Lead operational activities for export and feeder-vessel movements.
Role Responsibilities
- Establish and control SOPs from booking through billing and shipment closure.
- Manage documentation, customs compliance, carrier coordination, and milestone performance.
- Oversee BL, AWB, manifest, FASAH, cargo-release, and delivery processes.
- Control operational costs, prevent gross-profit leakage, and maintain approved service levels.
- Manage shipment exceptions, claims, delays, and customer escalations.
- Develop the operational framework for export and feeder-vessel activities.
- Coach the operations team and coordinate with sales, pricing, finance, and branch management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of freight-forwarding experience, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong multimodal freight experience covering ocean, air, and cross-border road transport.
- Knowledge of import/export, customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of Saudi Customs, FASAH, ports, airports, and terminal procedures.
- Experience in transport planning, carrier management, and route optimization.
- NVOCC, feeder-vessel, or shipping-line experience is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
