Role Overview
7X is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to turn real-world operational challenges into deployed AI solutions.
The role combines software engineering, AI and LLM development, systems integration, and business problem-solving.
The engineer will take solutions from discovery through production deployment, handover, and user adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify operational problems and translate them into practical AI and automation solutions.
- Conduct process discovery, requirements gathering, and stakeholder interviews.
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions using Python, LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks, and workflow orchestration.
- Integrate solutions with operational systems, APIs, data sources, and business workflows.
- Prototype with real users, evaluate solution quality, and iterate toward production readiness.
- Monitor production solutions and troubleshoot performance, quality, and integration issues.
- Collaborate with IT, information security, data and analytics, and business teams on architecture, security, and compliance.
- Document solutions, prepare handover materials, train users, and track measurable deployment benefits.
- Identify reusable components and patterns and support build-versus-buy assessments.
- Lead temporary delivery pods or coordinate interns where required.
