Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate ELV and Fire Alarm technicians, allocate daily activities, and monitor work progress
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate testing
- Coordinate Civil Defense inspections and authority visits, ensure timely closure of deficiencies
- Supervise maintenance of SMATV, CCTV, Intercom, Access Control, and Low Voltage Distribution Systems
- Attend critical breakdowns, diagnose complex system failures, and coordinate repairs
- Conduct inspections of completed maintenance works and verify compliance with quality standards
- Coordinate with client representatives, attend meetings, and provide technical updates
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, verify PPE use, and ensure permit to work procedures are followed
- Maintain maintenance records, review technician reports, and prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports
Requirements
- Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Fire Alarm and ELV systems
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role

Job Purpose
- To supervise and coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities related to Fire Alarm Systems, SMATV, CCTV, Intercom, and associated ELV systems.
- The Foreman is responsible for ensuring system reliability, leading maintenance teams, supporting authority inspections, and maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate ELV and Fire Alarm technicians, allocate daily activities, monitor work progress, ensure efficient utilization of manpower, conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings, provide technical guidance and on the job training.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, troubleshoot panel faults, loop faults, communication faults, and device failures, coordinate testing of detectors, MCPs, sounders, modules, and interfaces, ensure systems remain operational and compliant, support annual testing
- Coordinate Civil Defense inspections and authority visits, ensure timely closure of inspection remarks and deficiencies, maintain inspection records and compliance documentation, coordinate corrective actions from audit observations.
- Supervise maintenance of SMATV, CCTV, Intercom, Access Control, and Low Voltage Distribution Systems, troubleshoot signal, communication, and equipment faults, coordinate repairs and replacement of defective components.
- Attend critical breakdowns and emergency service calls, diagnose complex system failures, coordinate specialist subcontractors and OEM support, ensure restoration of services within contractual response times.
- Conduct inspections of completed maintenance works, verify compliance with procedures and quality standards, monitor KPI and SLA performance, ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with client representatives regarding maintenance activities, attend client meetings and inspections, provide technical updates and recommendations, support resolution of customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, verify use of PPE and safe work practices, ensure permit to work procedures are followed, report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain maintenance records and work completion reports, review technician reports, monitor material usage and spare parts requirements, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Additional certifications in Fire Alarm Systems, ELV Systems, or Low Voltage Systems preferred.
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Fire Alarm System Certification
- Civil Defense Approved Fire Alarm Technician Certification
- NFPA Awareness Training
- IOSH Managing Safely
- NEBOSH IGC (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification
- Fire Warden / Fire Marshal Training
- Permit to Work Training
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Fire Alarm and ELV systems.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- UAE/GCC Facilities Management experience preferred.
- Experience in commercial, residential, government, and mixed use facilities.
Technical Skills
- Fire Alarm System troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Fire Alarm panel loop rectification.
- Civil Defense inspection coordination.
- SMATV installation and maintenance.
- CCTV installation and maintenance.
- Intercom systems maintenance.
- Electrical fault diagnosis and rectification.
