Footwear Product Developer

Role overview

Product development responsibilities

• Research trends, street style, runway shows, WGSN, social media, and competitors to support the brand vision.
• Bring designs through development to production-ready products meeting design, fit, quality, and brand requirements.
• Review supplier pricing, prepare technical packages, coordinate sample updates, and maintain development data.
• Review samples, update tech packs and patterns, resolve design and quality issues, and communicate changes to factories.
• Track development timelines, create product architecture, determine material standards, and develop product plans.
• Analyze weekly sales results and present biweekly market competition analysis to inform collection decisions.
• Work with marketing for product alignment and perform other duties as required.

What you’ll need

• Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in Graphic Design.
• At least five years of experience in a related role.
• Computer proficiency on Mac and PC, with knowledge of Adobe Illustrator CS+, Adobe Photoshop CS+, and Acrobat 6.
• Ability to source fonts and images, crop images, and make color corrections.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-activity environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Willingness to take on new challenges and bring positive, upbeat energy to the workplace.
