Key skills for this role
Flexibility services are critical to unlocking network capacity, managing constraints, and accelerating the transition to Net Zero. By maximising existing assets, supporting future infrastructure, and enabling faster customer connections, flexibility delivers cost-effective solutions while creating opportunities for consumers and businesses to participate in energy markets.
So far, flexibility has helped defer or optimise more than £200 million of network investment. As we expand its use to support connections, planned outages and low-carbon technology uptake, we're looking for a motivated individual to help shape the next phase of this exciting and rapidly evolving area of the energy sector.
Support the procurement and promotion of flexibility services, driving market participation and competition.
Engage with flexibility providers to grow market liquidity and expand programme reach.
Monitor industry and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with licence obligations and market requirements.
Support the delivery and continuous improvement of flexibility services across the business.
Help shape long-term flexibility strategy, working with stakeholders to unlock new opportunities and support the energy transition.
