About the Role

Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operational management of assigned vessels
- Ensure vessels are operated safely, efficiently and in compliance with contractual obligations
- Monitor vessel utilization, performance and operational readiness
- Coordinate vessel (de ) mobilizations and project specific requirements
- Liaise with contractors, review contract terms and conditions and inspect received fleet materials
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the fleet
- Report and investigate incidents and near misses, implementing safety measures
- Prepare and manage operational budgets for assigned vessels
- Support Masters and offshore personnel in operational decision making
- Monitor market developments and expand activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of offshore industry standards
- Experience operating with Aramco / ADNOC
- Good proficiency in MS Office Suite and PMS
- Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage

Job Purpose
- The Fleet Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, compliant and cost effective management of the assigned fleet.
About the Maritime Cluster
- AD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster is led by Noatum Maritime, operating across multiple countries with a fleet of over 250 vessels.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day operational management of the assigned vessels.
- Ensure vessels are operated safely, efficiently and in compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor vessel utilization, performance and operational readiness.
- Coordinate vessel (de ) mobilizations and project specific requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, review contract terms and conditions and inspect received fleet materials.
Safety related responsibilities
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the fleet.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable international maritime regulations.
- Report and investigate incidents and near misses, implementing safety measures.
- Communicate HSE requirements to the operation team.
- Participate in internal/external audits.
Financial responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the (operational) budgets for the assigned vessels.
- Ensure that expenditures and fleet projects are prepared in accordance with the department's overall budget.
People Management Responsibilities
- Support Masters and offshore personnel in operational decision making and problem resolution.
- Assign authority and responsibilities, maintaining a competent workforce.
- Appraise office personnel and vessel Masters.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Responsible for cost effective and efficient fleet operations.
- Monitor market developments and expand activities.
- Ensure availability of resources before mobilization.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on fleet performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of offshore industry standards.
- Experience operating with Aramco / ADNOC.
- Good proficiency in MS Office Suite and PMS.
- Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
Required Skills
- Experience in Marine fleet management.
- Leadership and effective supervision.
- Must be an effective communicator and have good computer skills.
- Must be familiar with all operational, maintenance and repair aspects of the response equipment.
