Fleet Controller

As a Fleet Allocator / Controller, you will be responsible for:

Planning and scheduling daily pick-up and delivery runs using Orcoda to maximise fleet utilisation and service performance.

Coordinating drivers and allocating work effectively to ensure freight is loaded, delivered, and collected safely and on time.

Maintaining regular communication with drivers and operational teams throughout the day.

Monitoring compliance with Dangerous Goods requirements, Chain of Responsibility obligations, fatigue management regulations, and safety standards.

Tracking and reporting on operational KPIs, including missed pick-ups, delivery performance, and fleet efficiency.

Managing service disruptions and operational challenges by implementing practical and timely solutions.

Coordinating priority freight and special delivery requests as required.

Ensuring fleet presentation, load restraint compliance, and vehicle safety standards are consistently maintained.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet allocation, dispatch, or scheduling.

Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.

The ability to prioritise tasks and make decisions in a fast-moving operational environment.

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working with transport management, dispatch, or scheduling systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of NHVR Fatigue Management, Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), Load Restraint Guidelines, and Dangerous Goods requirements will be highly regarded.
