Role Overview

  • As a Fitness Trainer at Banyan Tree Dubai, you deliver personalised fitness experiences supporting guests' health, wellbeing, and lifestyle goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide a personalised, professional, and motivating fitness experience.
  • Conduct fitness consultations and assessments to understand guests' goals, preferences, fitness levels, and any relevant considerations.
  • Design and deliver personalised training programmes based on individual guest needs and objectives.
  • Provide one on one personal training sessions, group fitness classes, and wellness activities as required.
  • Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and ensure guests train safely and effectively.
  • Adapt training sessions to suit different fitness levels, abilities, and guest expectations.
  • Encourage and motivate guests to achieve their wellness and fitness goals.

Fitness Coaching & Wellness Support

  • Provide expert advice on exercise, movement, strength, conditioning, flexibility, and overall wellbeing.
  • Educate guests on healthy lifestyle practices and sustainable fitness routines.
  • Recommend suitable fitness activities, classes, and wellness experiences available at the resort.
  • Stay updated on current fitness trends, training techniques, and wellness practices.
  • Support the delivery of holistic wellness experiences aligned with Banyan Tree's wellbeing philosophy.

Fitness Centre Operations & Standards

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming fitness environment.
  • Ensure all gym equipment is clean, safe, and presented to the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular checks of fitness equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure fitness areas are prepared before guest use and that equipment is returned correctly after sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, guest preferences, and fitness assessments where required.

Guest Engagement & Service Excellence

  • Build positive relationships with guests and create memorable, personalised interactions.
  • Provide attentive and discreet service in line with luxury hospitality standards.
  • Promote fitness services, wellness programmes, and additional offerings to enhance guest experiences.
  • Respond professionally to guest questions, feedback, and requests.
  • Ensure guest confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all training sessions are conducted safely and responsibly.
  • Follow fitness centre health, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of guest limitations, injuries, or medical considerations.
  • Provide appropriate guidance and modifications to exercises when required.
  • Report any incidents, concerns, or safety hazards to management.

Teamwork & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with Spa, Wellness, Recreation, and Front Office teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Support resort wellness initiatives, activities, and events.
  • Participate in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with any additional duties required to support the effective operation of the department.
