- Hire, train, and manage performance of a team of Personal Trainers
- Maintain reports and data for performance clarity and communicate plans to General Manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current CPR certification
- One or more nationally accredited personal trainer certifications (e.g., ACSM, ACE, NASM)
- 1 2 years as a Personal Trainer preferred
- Prior management experience in retail/hospitality leading 3 10 employees preferred
- Consultative sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of personal training techniques and program design
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Overview
- The primary objective is to maximize the number of members who participate in and retain paid Personal Training Services.
- This is a salaried position requiring a minimum of 45 hours per week.
- The manager will achieve objectives by managing the selling process, coaching delivery, and owning the client journey.
Responsibilities
- New Client Acquisition: Selling directly 50% of the time, coaching trainers on sales, managing schedules and resources based on KPIs.
- Minimize and Manage Attrition: Ensure proper execution of Client Journey, high quality programs, and accurate administration of services.
- Staff Development: Hire, train, and manage performance of Personal Trainers; conduct performance reviews.
- Manage & Communicate KPIs: Maintain reports and data, communicate takeaways and plans to General Manager.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Personal Training techniques and program design
- Sales, communication, and rapport building skills
- Knowledge of Crunch programs (VFP, dotFit, ABC/Datatrak, Crunch U, Styku, etc.)
- Ability to adjust and operate all club equipment
- Experience in coaching/motivating groups
- Strong leadership, interpersonal & communication skills
- Friendly, enthusiastic & positive attitude
- Strong member service focus
- Professional response to requests and inquiries
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Current CPR
- One or more of: ACSM, ACE, The Cooper Institute, IFPA, NASM, NESTA, NFPT, NSCA certifications
Experience
- 1 2 Years as a Personal Trainer preferred
- Prior management experience in retail/hospitality industry leading 3 10 employees preferred
- Consultative sales experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in club office; move about club floors and rooms; review, revise, create club paperwork; communicate with employees, members and the public
- Regularly required to demonstrate or explain proper physical fitness activities, techniques and procedures
- Regularly required to lift to 50 pounds
