Fitness Manager

Overview

*1. Team Leadership & Development*

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the team of Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop fitness staff to ensure high performance and service standards.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and team meetings.
• Ensure all fitness staff maintain valid certifications and comply with company policies.

*2. Fitness Operations Management*

• Oversee the daily operations of the fitness department and gym floor.
• Ensure all fitness equipment is maintained, operational, and safe for member use.
• Monitor facility cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and operational standards.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the fitness department.

*3. Member Experience & Retention*

• Deliver exceptional member service and ensure a positive fitness experience.
• Conduct fitness consultations, assessments, and program recommendations when required.
• Address member concerns, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve member engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

*4. Personal Training & Revenue Growth*

• Drive personal training sales and achieve departmental revenue targets.
• Monitor trainer productivity, client retention, and personal training performance.
• Promote fitness programs, challenges, and wellness initiatives to increase participation and revenue.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and maximize business performance.

*5. Program Development & Quality Assurance*

• Oversee the design and implementation of fitness programs, training packages, and group exercise offerings.
• Ensure trainers deliver safe, effective, and results-oriented fitness programs.
• Maintain quality standards across all fitness services and member interactions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and introduce innovative fitness solutions.

*6. Administration & Reporting*

• Prepare and analyze departmental reports, performance metrics, and revenue results.
• Manage staff schedules, attendance, and operational records.
• Monitor departmental budgets and control operating expenses.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.

*7. Health, Safety & Compliance*

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of fitness equipment and facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance, and staff certifications.
• Promote a culture of safety and professional conduct throughout the fitness department.

• Must hold a recognized Fitness Certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, REPs UAE, ISSA, or equivalent).
