Role Summary

  • The First Line Sales Manager (FLSM) coaches, leads, develops, and guides the Sales team to drive improved performance and capabilities in generating clinical demand for brands.

Coaching Medical Representatives

  • Coach sales team members on patient centric selling capabilities.
  • Communicate standard expectations from medical knowledge to customer management.
  • Identify sales reps developmental level and adapt leadership styles.
  • Conduct multiple coaching sessions between calls.
  • Follow up to assess coaching intervention success.

Recruiting & Hiring

  • Contribute to development of sales recruitment strategy.
  • Understand job requirements and set candidate profile.
  • Select and assess Med Reps along with HR.
  • Develop network of contacts in the industry.
  • Sell company image and values as part of recruiting.

Providing Inspirational Leadership

  • Lead District Team to meet or exceed sales forecasts and call execution goals.
  • Seek out needs of individual customers and set appropriate expectations.
  • Reward and recognize strong performance.
  • Develop sales reps to enhance skills and advance careers.
  • Proactively anticipate and address obstacles.
  • Comply with all regulations.

Passion for Customer

  • Maintain close contact with KOLs and other key customers.

Collaborating and Influencing Others

  • Work collaboratively across functional areas.
  • Act as liaison between sales force and cross functional areas.

Performance Management & Monitoring

  • Identify training needs and career development opportunities.
  • Assess individual and team progress toward goals.
  • Identify and accelerate development of top talent.
  • Demonstrate understanding of sales career path.
  • Lead high performance team through proper performance management.
  • Work with reps to establish challenging goals.
  • Make informed business decisions.
  • Monitor KPIs for greatest overall impact.

Area Management

  • Think strategically and make effective trade off decisions.
  • Influence business partners on sales goals.
  • Review planned activities and expenses for budget implications.
  • Ensure proper territory design and distribution.

Sales Management

  • Develop TAP including sales analysis, business planning and people development.
  • Hold responsibility for sales forecasting on monthly, quarter and annually basis.
  • Allocate sales targets across team members.
  • Hold responsibility for resources management.

Corporate Responsibilities

  • Maintain highest ethical standards.
  • Ensure activities are in accordance with local legislation.
  • Timely report health/environment/wellbeing accidents and adverse events.
