Position overview
Persistent Systems is seeking a Firewall Developer with strong C/C++ expertise and deep knowledge of network security technologies.
The role focuses on building secure, high-performance networking solutions in the cybersecurity domain.
The stated location is Pune, and the role is full-time employment.
Required expertise
- At least 8 years of experience in network or security software development.
- Strong programming skills in C or C++.
- Hands-on firewall development experience.
- Knowledge of IPSec, VPN technologies, packet processing, network protocols, socket programming, and the TCP/IP stack.
- Strong networking troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience with Linux or Unix-based development.
- Understanding of network cybersecurity concepts and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance firewall security product features using C/C++.
- Implement rule processing, packet filtering, NAT, traffic management, and efficient packet processing.
- Develop IPSec, VPN, and secure communication protocol features.
- Work with TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, HTTPS, and other network protocols.
