About the Role

Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Emergency Response team to ensure minimum loss of life and assets
- Schedule Emergency Response team training, plan and execute scheduled drills
- Manage the Emergency Response team roster and oversee skills competency
- Coordinate Emergency Response team and act as Incident Commander for emergencies
- Review and update the Emergency Preparedness & Response Procedure (EPRP)
- Conduct scheduled inspections, testing and maintenance on emergency response equipment
- Manage the fire extinguisher and breathing air equipment inspection program
- Coordinate and supervise third party contractor activities for equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and QHSSE procedures
- Prepare reports in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
- Diploma in Fire Science, Paramedic, Occupational Safety or any related discipline
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Emergency Response
- Fire Academy training
- Industrial Firefighting training
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) training
- Advanced Incident Command System (ICS) courses (minimum ICS 100 / ICS 200)
- Training in confined space, high angle, and technical rope rescue
- Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) training
- First aid training including CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- English – proficient

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
- Coordinate the daily activities of the Fire Technician and Fire Department Operations to ensure all emergency response equipment are maintained, ready for any emergency situation and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) is ready to respond at all times.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Emergency Response Team Management & Support: Coordinate the Emergency Response team to ensure minimum loss of life and assets.
- Schedule Emergency Response team training, plan and execute scheduled drills.
- Manage the Emergency Response team roster and oversee skills competency.
- Coordinate Emergency Response team and act as the Incident Commander for any emergency situation.
- Review and update the Emergency Preparedness & Response Procedure (EPRP).
- Emergency Response Equipment Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, testing and maintenance activities on equipment.
- Manage the fire extinguisher and breathing air equipment inspection program.
- Coordinate and supervise third party contractor activities on site.
- Ensure adequate on site stock levels of firefighting and emergency response consumables.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Education Required: Diploma in Fire Science, Paramedic, Occupational Safety or any related discipline.
- Experience Required: 5–7 years of relevant experience in Emergency Response.
- Fire Academy training.
- Industrial Firefighting training.
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) training.
- Advanced Incident Command System (ICS) courses (minimum ICS 100 / ICS 200).
- Training in confined space, high angle, and technical rope rescue.
- Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) training.

- Languages Required: English – proficient.
