About the Role

Responsibilities
- Respond immediately and safely to emergency calls, unforeseen circumstances, and requests for assistance

- Rescue trapped people and animals
- Inspect and maintain the fire engine and its equipment
- Assist in testing fire hydrants and checking emergency water supplies
- Undertake drills and physical training on techniques and equipment use
- Drive fire vehicles safely to locations inside or outside the port
Requirements
- Certificates in Fire Safety, Engineering, Science, HSE, or related field
- Firefighter Level II certification (at least 120 hours beyond Level I)
- Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) – at least 16 hours
- Hazmat operation level course (at least 24 hours)
- First responder course (OPRC Level 1 – at least 40 hours)
- Driving license issued in UAE
- Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage
- Minimum 0 1 years of experience in a similar role

Job Description
- To respond to emergency calls of any nature and carry out duties as directed by Officer in charge.
Core Responsibilities
- Respond immediately and safely to emergency calls, unforeseen circumstances, and requests for assistance.
- Protect the public and property at incidents of fires, road accidents, floods, bomb incidents, spillages of dangerous substances, and rail and air crashes.
- Rescue trapped people and animals.
- Inspect and maintain the appliance (fire engine) and its equipment, assisting in testing fire hydrants and checking emergency water supplies.
- Undertake drills and physical training on techniques, use of equipment, and related matters.
- Drive fire vehicles in a safe manner to any locations inside or outside the port.
Qualifications
- Certificates in Fire Safety, Engineering, Science, HSE, or a related field. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Firefighter Level II (at least 120 hours beyond Firefighter Level I) course including knowledge on fire, fire suppression, fire behavior, fire chemistry, fire rescue, firefighting equipment, safety, survival, and hazmat operations.
- Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) – at least 16 hours in accordance with NFPA 1451 and 1002.
- Hazmat operation level course (at least 24 hours) in accordance with NFPA 472, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, or EPA 40 CFR Part 311.
- First responder course (OPRC Level 1 – at least 40 hours) in accordance with IMO.
- Driving license issued in UAE.
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 0 1 years of experience in a similar role.
