The Role
The Finishing Foreman manages projects from drywall through handover and coordinates trades, handymen, and external construction personnel.
The role is responsible for ensuring project construction is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from drywall through handover and assist with construction production schedules.
- Provide schedule updates to the Construction Manager and manage subcontractor meetings.
- Maintain on-site quality controls and ensure inspections are completed during construction.
- Oversee trade contractors to ensure drawings are accurately followed and regulatory standards are met.
- Adjust work schedules to meet project close dates and deadlines.
- Coordinate with Customer Care before key handovers to address deficiencies or contractor oversights.
- Enforce company policies and procedures and perform other required duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of residential construction experience with increased responsibility or supervisory work.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to cope with high-intensity and stressful environments.
- Updated safety certificates are required.
- A valid driver’s license is required because the role involves travel between sites and the office.
Compensation
- The salary range is $70,000–$80,000.
