The Role

The Finishing Foreman manages projects from drywall through handover and coordinates trades, handymen, and external construction personnel.

The role is responsible for ensuring project construction is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects from drywall through handover and assist with construction production schedules.
  • Provide schedule updates to the Construction Manager and manage subcontractor meetings.
  • Maintain on-site quality controls and ensure inspections are completed during construction.
  • Oversee trade contractors to ensure drawings are accurately followed and regulatory standards are met.
  • Adjust work schedules to meet project close dates and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Customer Care before key handovers to address deficiencies or contractor oversights.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures and perform other required duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of residential construction experience with increased responsibility or supervisory work.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to cope with high-intensity and stressful environments.
  • Updated safety certificates are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required because the role involves travel between sites and the office.

Compensation

  • The salary range is $70,000–$80,000.
