Position Description
We are seeking a Financial Operations Associate to join our team.
In this role, you will support the processing of financial transactions while delivering exceptional client service and ensuring operational accuracy.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with financial systems, particularly SAS.
You will investigate account-related inquiries, resolve operational issues, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely solutions.
This role is hybrid and requires attendance at our downtown Toronto and/or client office a minimum of 1 day per week, subject to change.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Process financial transactions and registered accounts accurately and efficiently. - Utilize SAS and Trex applications to support daily operations, reporting, and account research. - Review and interpret client requests and supporting documentation, including letters of indemnity. - Investigate account and transaction discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate resolutions. - Communicate effectively with clients and internal partners to resolve inquiries and provide operational support. - Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards. - Contribute to process improvements while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
to be successful in this role:
- 2-3 years of experience in a financial operations or back-office environment. - Strong proficiency with SAS and Trex applications. - Experience processing registered accounts, including RRSP, RESP, TFSA, FHSA, Group, and Income Accounts. - Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. - Ability to interpret client documentation and investigate complex account or transaction issues. - Excellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. - Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.
Compensation
decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $40,000-$90,000.
