About the Company
Independent Food Company operates hospitality concepts including SALT, Somewhere, Parker's, Shalwa, and Public.
The organisation is expanding its portfolio, pursuing acquisitions, and growing across existing and new markets.
Role Purpose
Lead the Finance Center of Excellence for back-end accounting across the group.
Own financial reporting integrity, control, compliance, and the standardised platform supporting multiple brands and geographies.
The first year focuses on clearing historical issues, strengthening controls, and embedding the operating model.
Scope of Function
- Manage general accounting, month-end close, journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, and entity-level financials.
- Oversee revenue accounting, accounts receivable ageing, customer and aggregator reconciliation, and cash reconciliation.
- Own tax, compliance, treasury, banking governance, chart of accounts, master data, and project/WBS structures.
- Accounts payable is expected to merge into the function in Phase 2, expanding the scope to approximately 12 direct or matrixed reports.
