Role Purpose

  • Lead the delivery of financial management reports and a variety of ad hoc reports.
  • Ensure facilitating management review and serve business objectives of DCT by applying International Financial Standards and in compliance with DCT financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the finance reporting unit to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive periodic management reports on budget utilization and variances, and review the investigation of related variances for control and corrective actions purposes.
  • Oversee the implementation of data transformation processes to convert raw, complex data into actionable information for strategic decision making.
  • Conduct detailed analyses, including the ability to analyze big data, to support management decision making and enhance forecasting accuracy in line with defined objectives.
  • Oversee and review variances, investigate root causes, and recommend control measures for corrective actions.
  • Interpret complex financial information and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather necessary information for insightful reporting and communicate complex financial information effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Drive the automation of reports to enhance efficiency and reduce reporting cycle time as per the industry’s best practices.
  • Manage the development and enhancement of financial models and reporting tools for better analysis.
  • Implement reporting tools to improve the analysis of reports, enhancing understanding and aiding strategic decision making.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by leadership for specific projects or strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to special projects that involve complex financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s (Masters preferred) in Finance, Accounting, or any relevant.
  • Certification such as (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven 4 6 years of experience in reporting, analysis using advances tools, or relevant.
  • At least 2 years on experience in a managerial role.

Skills

  • Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing.
  • Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Proficient in financial modeling with strong quantitative skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • High level of competency in relevant software applications.
  • Ability to quickly integrate with existing business software tools and knowledge of other relevant industry software.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with external and internal stakeholders and cross functional team members.
  • Self motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Concise and engaging delivery during the presentation.
  • In depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in UAE.

  • External: Regulators, Government Entities; DOF, Financial Institutions & Banks
