Finance Operations Manager

Reporting to: Financial Controller – Operations & Projects Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Location: South Wharf, Melbourne

The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for managing ANL’s treasury operations, ensuring effective cash flow, minimising financial risk and maximising returns on cash resources. The role oversees banking and financial systems, month-end reconciliations, banking signatories and inter-group settlements, while continuously improving treasury processes and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

The role and responsibilities will include:

Manage the company’s cash flow and treasury operations, including cash forecasting, bank balances, FX transactions, cash reporting and bank reconciliations.

Oversee Accounts Receivable, including debt collection, overdue accounts, customer queries and month-end AR reconciliations.

Oversee Accounts Payable, including supplier management, payment runs, expense claims and month-end AP reconciliations.

Manage inter-group settlements, ensuring transactions are accurate, completed on time and variances or issues are investigated and resolved.

Maintain strong financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies while identifying opportunities for process and productivity improvements.

Lead and manage the Treasury team, including performance management, resource planning, staff development and day-to-day team leadership.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ relevant accounting experience, including financial reporting and accounting.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial systems skills, with intermediate Excel capability and experience across accounting/IT systems.

Ability to develop and improve financial processes, procedures and controls within a complex, multi-currency environment.

Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across internal and external stakeholders.

Results-focused people leader, able to lead and motivate a diverse team, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
