Role purpose
Own the finance engine across all markets, ensuring revenue, costs, margins, and profitability are accurately captured, forecasted, and actively managed.
Partner with Sales, Operations, and Country Heads on pricing discipline, margin floors, data integrity, and profit targets.
Combine FP&A, pricing, commercial analytics, and systems ownership across Odoo and Excel.
Commercial performance ownership
- Own gross margin, contribution margin, and net profitability by client, job, and country.
- Oversee margin floors, markup multiples, and pricing guardrails by job type and source.
- Identify margin leakage, pass-through disguised as revenue, and cost overruns.
FP&A and targets
- Build and maintain bottom-up and top-down forecasts.
- Translate annual profit targets into assignable monthly sales targets for commercial teams.
- Reverse-engineer topline targets to deliver EBITDA and net profit objectives.
- Run scenarios covering price uplift, volume shifts, cost inflation, and gross-margin-floor changes.
Data governance and consolidation
- Define and enforce standard data structures across markets.
- Own monthly data quality assurance covering duplicates, missing costs, zero-cost rows, negative margins, outliers, and date inconsistencies.
- Ensure costs are fully allocated using documented actual or estimated logic.
- Consolidate multi-country data into a single source of truth.
Pricing and deal support
- Partner with Sales to approve below-floor pricing, structure pass-through and fee models, and assess deal profitability before commitment.
- Build auditable Excel-based pricing tools and calculators.
- Review large or strategic deals before signature.
Systems and reporting
- Own commercial reporting logic in Odoo and ensure accurate capture of jobs, invoices, costs, and client attributes.
- Build formula-driven, refreshable, and auditable Excel commercial models.
- Automate reporting with Power Query and standardized templates.
- Train country teams on data entry and reporting standards.
Executive reporting
- Deliver a monthly commercial dashboard covering revenue, GM%, GP, mix, client concentration, and pass-through rate.
- Present recommendations to leadership on where to grow, reprice, or stop.
- Track commercial actions and quantify their impact.
Required profile
- 5–8+ years in commercial finance, FP&A, or business finance.
- Strong exposure to pricing, margin management, and deal economics.
- Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, pivots, dynamic formulas, scenario models, and Power BI.
- Strong ERP experience, with Odoo strongly preferred.
- Ability to build end-to-end financial models with clear assumptions and controls.
- Finance, Accounting, or Economics degree.
- Multi-country or multi-entity experience is preferred.
- Job- or project-based business experience is a strong plus.
- MBA, CPA, or ACCA is a plus but not mandatory.
Commercial and behavioral profile
- Strong commercial judgment and a detail-oriented control mindset.
- Clear communication skills with senior stakeholders.
Accountable deliverables
- Monthly consolidated commercial P&L by country, client, and job.
- Twelve-month rolling forecast with profit scenarios.
- Annual budget and mid-year reforecast.
- Client profitability scorecards and a pricing and margin governance framework.
- Sales team targets by client and month with profitability indicators.
