- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor project, client, and logistics profitability
- Control transportation, freight, customs, warehousing, and delivery costs
- Validate shipping invoices and logistics vendor payments
- Manage cash flow, receivables, and payables
- Coordinate marine insurance declarations and claims reporting
- Lead the finance team and collaborate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, customs requirements, and internal controls
- Support management with financial analysis and cost optimization initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA
- 7–10 years of finance and accounting experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Financial Controller or supervisory role
- Proven logistics finance and cost management experience (mandatory)
- Previous experience working for a logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain company (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of transportation, freight, customs, warehousing, and delivery cost analysis
- Advanced Excel and ERP skills (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred)
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT and customs related financial processes

Overview
- Wood Couture is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join our Finance team in Dubai, UAE.
- In this role, you will oversee financial planning, reporting, cost control, cash flow management, and logistics finance operations, playing a key role in ensuring profitability and financial discipline across our supply chain and project operations.
- We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked for a logistics company, freight forwarding company, shipping company, supply chain organization, or a business with significant logistics operations.
- Hands on experience managing transportation, freight, customs, warehousing, shipping, delivery related financial operations, logistics vendor payments, and logistics profitability analysis is mandatory.
