Job Summary
Manage customer collections, accounts receivable, and outstanding payments.
Maintain professional customer relationships while ensuring timely collection of receivables.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments.
- Contact customers regarding pending payments and maintain accurate collection records.
- Prepare account statements, invoices, and supporting documents for customers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and identify discrepancies or outstanding issues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, and Customer Service teams on billing and payment issues.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable and Aging Reports and provide collection status updates.
- Follow up on promised payment dates and escalate long-outstanding or disputed accounts.
- Assist with cash allocation, payment reconciliation, and month-end receivables closing activities.
- Comply with company policies and maintain professional customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting and receivables processes.
- Good communication, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
