About the Role

Responsibilities
- File all General Ledger Reports
- Ensure all house banks are counted monthly and discrepancies actioned
- Ensure all money and checks are deposited intact with the bank
- Check and process monthly authorized payroll
- Check and process monthly rank and file payroll
- Prepare and calculate final pay
- Analyze payroll reports and report discrepancies
- Prepare and submit all required payroll journals for month end
- Ensure correct deductions through payroll
- Verify bank deposit slips against total deposits
- Check foreign currency receipts against deposits
- Verify foreign exchange gain/loss
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the hotel industry
- Previous experience as a Chief Accountant
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Experience with hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, SunSystems) is an advantage
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong leadership and team management skills

Job Description
- Files all General Ledger Reports.
- Ensures all house banks are counted on a monthly basis.
- Ensures all money and checks are deposited intact with the bank.
- Checks and processes the monthly authorized payroll.
- Checks and processes the monthly rank and file payroll.
- Prepares and calculates final pay.
- Analyzes payroll reports to report discrepancies.
- Prepares and submits all required payroll journals for month end.

- Verifies bank deposit slips against total deposits.
- Checks foreign currency receipts against deposits.
- Verifies foreign exchange gain/loss.
Miscellaneous
- Works closely and proactively with all Departments.
- Ensures familiarity with in house facilities to assist guests and promote sales.
- Informs and updates the Financial Controller on problems and unusual matters.
- Attends meetings and training required by the Financial Controller.
- Assists colleagues when needed.
- Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquiries.
- Accepts flexible working schedule when necessary.
- Stays updated on special promotions, marketing promotions, laws, union agreements.
- Stays abreast of current and new industry technology.
- Performs required duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains favorable working relationship with employees and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the hotel industry.
- Previous experience as a Chief Accountant.
