Job Purpose
- Conduct road test drive for vehicle in order to assess and verify the complaint of the customer. Provide initial feedback on the status and condition of the vehicle. Conduct a final road test to ensure that all the complaints are resolve and communicate them to the team leader or service advisor before handover. Communicate any additional faults or repair requirement to the customer after the final test drive to facilitate approval for further repair as needed.
Key Accountabilities
- Initial Inspection: Conduct test drive of the vehicle along with the customer’s representative to verify the complaint. Identify the complaint as advised by the service advisor and note other defects observed during the road test. Prepare a report of the findings and communicate details to the team leader to facilitate repair as needed.
- Final Road Test: Conduct a test drive to ensure the initial complaint is resolved. Notify the team leader if additional work is required and prepare the final inspection sheet with information such as jobs that require immediate attention, those which can be done at a later stage and repetitive/return jobs.
- Delivery: Communicate the final road test result to the team leader/foreman to ensure all jobs are completed before the vehicle is ready for collection and delivery. Train customer’s drivers to familiarize them with the vehicle features, options, operating procedures etc.
- Parking: Park received and tested vehicles in appropriate areas to ensure ample parking areas and easy maneuvering.
Job Specific Information
- Final Controller will closely work with customers and service teams to assist in effective diagnosis and solving complaints.
• Secondary School Education Certificate
- Certification as Automotive Technician is preferred
- UAE Driving license
Experience
- 4 - 6 years minimum driving experience within an automotive industry
- Experience within an automotive/workshop environment is preferred
