About the Role
Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer Generalist for Mechanical Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting on Frame 5 and Frame 6 gas turbines, requiring over 10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 5 single shaft and double shaft: majors inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs and CI
- Perform all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 6: majors inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs and CI
- Perform borescope inspection
- Perform installation, commissioning and startups of GTs
- Handle mechanical inspection of the gas turbine's auxiliaries system
- Handle mechanical inspection of the gas turbine's gear boxes
- Perform laser alignment
- Review and implement NICs/TILs
- Respond to Buyer's technical inquiries utilizing BH technical support services
- Maintain documented history of all mechanical modifications for Covered Units
- Support Buyer's operation & maintenance staff with diagnostics counselling
- Perform equipment start up, diagnostic and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas/Power/Refinery/Turbomachinery industries
- Ability to perform major inspections and overhauling independently of HDGT – Frame 52
- Maintenance experience in stage 2 nozzles
- Ability to perform Laser Alignments & Borescope inspection on all machines
- Experience in frame 6 is preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the UAE
- Willingness to work offshore

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Have more than 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas/ Power/ Refinery/ Turbomachinery industries.
- Be able to perform major Inspections and overhauling independently of HDGT – Frame 52.
- Have maintenance experience in stage 2 nozzles.
