About the Role
Baker Hughes seeks a Field Service Engineer for heavy-duty gas turbines (Frame 5, 6) to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the Oil & Gas/Power industry.

Responsibilities
- Perform all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 5 and Frame 6 gas turbines including major inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs, and CI
- Perform borescope inspection
- Perform installation, commissioning, and startups of gas turbines
- Handle mechanical inspection of gas turbine auxiliaries systems and gear boxes
- Perform laser alignment
- Review and implement NICs/TILs
- Respond to Buyer's technical inquiries utilizing BH technical support services
- Maintain documented history of all mechanical modifications for Covered Units
- Support Buyer's operation & maintenance staff with diagnostics counseling
- Perform equipment start up, diagnostic, and troubleshooting
- Perform water wash procedure and lube oil/cooling water system flushes
- Perform pre commissioning and commissioning of oil, starting, fuel gas, and air systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas/Power/Refinery/Turbomachinery industries
- Ability to perform major inspections and overhauling independently of HDGT – Frame 52
- Maintenance experience in stage 2 nozzles
- Ability to perform Laser Alignments & Borescope inspection on all machines
- Legally authorized to work in the UAE
- Willing to work offshore
- Experience in frame 6 is preferred

Overview

- As a Field Service Engineer Mechanical Heavy Duty Gas Turbine, you will advise and counsel for pre defined maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Performing all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 5 single shaft and double shaft: majors inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs and CI
- Performing all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 6: majors inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs and CI
- Performing borescope inspection
- Performing installation, commissioning and startups of GTs
- Handling mechanical Inspection of the gas turbine's auxiliaries system
- Handling mechanical Inspection of the gas turbine's gear boxes
- Performing laser alignment
- Reviewing and implementing NICs/TILs
- Responding to the Buyer's technical inquiries utilizing BH technical support services.
- Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modifications for the Covered Units.
- Supporting Buyer's operation & maintenance staff with diagnostics counselling and addressing maintenance/operational issues on Covered Units.

Qualifications
