Role Overview
Field Operator role supporting Qatar District Cooling Company operations in Doha, Qatar.
The position involves plant field rounds, equipment operation, safety control, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and coordination with CCC Operators.
Safety and Security
- Raise safety observations in CMMS when issues are found during a shift.
- Conduct regular security rounds to identify unauthorized personnel or security breaches.
- Inspect equipment, PPE, emergency exits, and assigned areas for safety compliance.
- Ensure safety signage is visible and up to date.
- Respond to equipment failures, fires, spills, and other emergencies.
Plant Operations
- Issue, review, or verify the Permit-to-Work system for maintenance and operational activities.
- Perform equipment lineups, LOTO, changeovers, and shutdowns, and isolate equipment for maintenance handover.
- Visually inspect pumps, valves, chillers, and other critical equipment for damage, leaks, or abnormal operation.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, flow rate, alarms, and other key process parameters.
- Initiate assigned system startups and shutdowns according to approved checklists and procedures.
