Role Overview
The Electrical Technician maintains electrical systems and equipment in plants and buildings.
The role covers preventive, corrective, breakdown, and emergency maintenance, as well as new system installation.
Electrical Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and maintain power systems and electrical installations.
- Diagnose switchgear, motor control centers, variable-frequency drives, motors, automatic transfer switches, chillers, and distribution panels.
- Test electrical connections, equipment, and controls after preventive maintenance.
- Maintain motorized valves, HVAC systems, generating sets, synchronization panels, fire-fighting systems, lighting, ELCB systems, and cranes.
Installation and Reporting
- Install cables, wiring terminations, cable trunking, cable ducts, panel boards, distribution panels, and manual stations.
- Generate technical layouts and technical reports.
- Perform thermographic analysis of electrical equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical teams.
Systems and Compliance
- Understand and implement the basis of Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
