Fibre Core Designer

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, GIS, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in telecommunications network planning, fibre design or telecommunications engineering.
• Strong understanding of: Physical and logical fibre network design Fibre topology and core network architecture Optical transport systems Data centre and facility standards including rack layouts, patching and cabling pathways

• Advanced experience using QGIS (preferred) or ArcGIS for fibre route validation, spatial analysis and map generation.
• Strong analytical, planning and documentation skills.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Proficiency across Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and Project.
