Facility Project Manager

Role overview

Project delivery and construction

• Manage construction, fit-out, and civil works projects from concept and feasibility through execution and handover.
• Coordinate civil, MEP, HVAC, electrical, fire and safety, and related works across multiple sites.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to approved designs.
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.

Infrastructure planning

• Support site identification, feasibility assessments, and development planning for new facilities.
• Translate business and operational requirements into practical space and infrastructure plans.
• Drive space optimization and capacity planning across existing and upcoming locations.
• Identify infrastructure requirements, risks, and potential constraints early.

Vendors and cost management

• Source, evaluate, and manage contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
• Define project scope, SLAs, deliverables, and performance expectations.
• Manage project budgets and CAPEX planning, including forecasting, tracking, and variance control.
• Review and negotiate quotations, contracts, and variation orders.

Approvals and compliance

• Coordinate authority approvals, permits, and inspections with UAE authorities including municipalities, Civil Defence, utilities, free zones, and Trakhees where applicable.
• Ensure projects comply with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and local authority requirements.

Facilities and handover

• Manage completed-project handover into operations, including snagging, documentation, and asset registers.
• Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance of facilities and MEP systems.
• Monitor the condition, functionality, safety, and presentation of live facilities.
• Establish and monitor facility management SLAs and resolve maintenance issues promptly.

Safety and stakeholders

• Promote HSE standards and ensure contractors comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Act as the central contact between operations, leadership, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Provide updates on progress, budgets, risks, timelines, and key issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Four to six years of experience in facility management, project management, infrastructure, construction, or fit-out.
• UAE or GCC experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail, automotive, industrial, warehousing, logistics, or similar environments is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD at drawing-reading level, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
