Role Overview

  • Aldar Education is looking for a passionate and dynamic Facilities & Services Officer (NEBOSH Qualified) to join their team in Abu Dhabi.
  • Aldar Education is a leading education group in Abu Dhabi, supporting over 31,000 students and a network of almost 5,000 educators.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
  • Related industry qualification of graduate level.
  • Certificate of Facilities Management / NEBOSH.

Minimum Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within an Education or Hospitality background.
  • Experience working with company accommodation preferred.

  • Skilled in multi tasking and handling pressure.
  • Organizational ability.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for delivery of facilities and general services across the School.
  • Ensure school facilities and company housing are maintained to highest standards.
  • Oversee school accommodation requirements and staff housing.
  • Oversee efficient and cost effective purchasing and contracting.

General Operations

  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed satisfactorily.
  • Ensure security and efficient operation of school site, buildings, and grounds.
  • Implementation of policies, systems, processes, and student safeguarding measures.
  • Ensure school based events are effectively planned and resourced.
  • Ensure essential central services are effectively planned and resourced.
  • Support OSM in utilisation of space and resources.
  • Ensure daily monitoring of BMS and BMS alert systems.
  • Support OSM in procuring and maintaining staff accommodation.

Leadership & Management

  • Ensure external support service teams perform in line with school expectations.
  • Manage facilities and general service teams to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure each team member partakes in professional development and appraisal.

Finance, Commercial & Procurement

  • Oversee relevant budgets and expenditure, effectively manage costs.
  • Support opportunities for shared resource and cost across partner schools.
  • Ensure purchasing policy and Delegation of Authority processes are followed.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure schools are fully compliant with local government authority regulations.
  • Ensure all internal and external audit actions are completed in a timely manner.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture.
  • Ensure school complies with current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Review and monitor health and safety performance of contractors.
  • Support OSM with environmental aims and objectives.
  • Ensure all health, safety and environmental audits are completed.
