Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, inspect, and evaluate the performance of the University's electrical systems, equipment, and installations.
- Identify electrical faults, deficiencies, or system inefficiencies and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, lighting systems, UPS units, and other related infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, regulations, safety standards, and institutional policies.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy conservation measures.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering.
- Support the planning, design review, and execution of electrical upgrades, renovations, and campus expansion projects.
- Oversee and coordinate facilities maintenance activities across the University campus.
- Establish work priorities, schedules, and timelines for maintenance personnel.
- Monitor the completion of work assignments and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Train and guide technical staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety.
