Role Overview
Develop, detail and coordinate façade solutions for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, residential and other architectural projects across the UAE.
Translate architectural concepts into practical, buildable and technically accurate aluminium and façade solutions.
Design and Technical Development
- Develop detailed façade designs based on architectural concepts, project requirements and technical specifications.
- Prepare 2D drawings, elevations, sections, details and fabrication drawings for aluminium and façade systems.
- Develop façade layouts and details for curtain wall, windows, doors, aluminium cladding and architectural systems.
- Prepare accurate construction and shop drawings.
- Consider aesthetics, functionality, performance, constructability and cost in design solutions.
3D Modelling and Software
- Create 3D models and visualizations of façade systems and architectural elements.
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and SketchUp for design and visualization work.
- Produce visual presentations to communicate design concepts and technical solutions.
Materials and Façade Systems
- Work with aluminium, glazing, cladding and other façade systems.
- Select materials, finishes and system components based on project requirements.
- Consider durability, performance, functionality, aesthetics and constructability.
Coordination and Project Support
- Coordinate with architects, façade consultants, structural engineers, project engineers, quantity surveyors and production teams.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify clashes and technical requirements.
- Coordinate designs with fabrication, production and site requirements.
- Conduct site visits where required and support teams with technical clarifications.
Quality Control
- Check drawings for dimensions, levels, details, specifications, materials and design accuracy.
- Maintain drawing numbering, revision control and documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications and applicable standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field.
- 3–10 years of relevant experience in façade design, aluminium systems, building envelope design or architectural detailing.
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency is essential.
- Knowledge of Revit, Rhino and/or SketchUp is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UAE construction practices is advantageous.
