- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to determine project scope
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for construction projects
- Conduct quantity take offs and cost analyses based on project specifications and market rates
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Identify project risks, cost saving opportunities, and value engineering options
- Coordinate with design, procurement, planning, and project teams during the bidding stage
- Prepare technical and commercial bid clarifications and attend tender meetings
- Maintain and update cost databases, historical cost records, and subcontractor/vendor pricing information
- Analyze variations, changes in scope, and their impact on project costs
- Assist management in bid strategy development and tender negotiations
- Ensure estimates are completed within submission deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 8 10 years of experience in estimation and tendering within the construction industry
- Proven track record of preparing estimates for large scale building projects
- Experience with luxury residential, hospitality, villas, high end fit out, or premium mixed use developments is an added advantage
- Knowledge of local market rates, construction methods, and procurement practices
- Familiarity with value engineering techniques and cost optimization strategies
- Knowledge of UAE/GCC construction market and pricing trends
- Exposure to FIDIC contracts and commercial practices
