Estimator – Commercial Kitchen
to support hospitality and foodservice projects across the UAE and GCC region.
The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, commercial proposals, and technical quotations for commercial kitchen and hospitality projects including hotels, restaurants, cafés, catering facilities, and institutional kitchens.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, project costing, hospitality operations, and coordination with suppliers, consultants, procurement teams, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, quotations, and tender submissions for commercial kitchen projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, layouts, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with sales, design, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate pricing and technical compliance.
- Source pricing from suppliers and manufacturers for kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, stainless steel fabrication, and related hospitality products.
- Evaluate project scope, quantities, and technical requirements for estimation accuracy.
- Prepare commercial proposals, costing sheets, and profitability analysis.
- Review consultant specifications and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and technical clarifications.
- Support the sales team during client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.
- Maintain updated costing databases and supplier pricing records.
- Assist in value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Monitor market pricing trends, competitor activities, and supplier updates.
- Work closely with project execution teams during handover and project implementation.
- Ensure timely submission of quotations and tender documents.
- Prepare technical submittals and equipment schedules where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Hospitality Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in estimation for commercial kitchen, hospitality, or foodservice projects.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and hospitality project requirements.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, tender documents, and commercial quotations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of hospitality operations and kitchen workflow planning.
- Experience in GCC/UAE hospitality projects will be an advantage.
