Equipment Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and inspection of static and rotary equipment in Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Conduct material receipt inspections and verify equipment, anchor bolts, and templates upon delivery.
• Coordinate with civil teams and witness foundation inspections prior to concrete pouring activities.
• Monitor equipment alignment, leveling, orientation, elevation, and positioning activities.
• Supervise lifting, erection, assembly, and installation activities for static and rotary equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, ITPs, method statements, and engineering drawings.
• Monitor equipment installation activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Review and resolve technical issues related to equipment installation and coordinate with contractors and engineering teams.
• Conduct inspections related to shaft alignment, coupling alignment, run-out checks, pipe strain verification, bolt torque checks, and punch list clearance.
• Coordinate motor and turbine solo runs, lube oil flushing activities, mechanical running tests, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, contractors, engineering, and commissioning teams.
• Prepare mechanical inspection records, test reports, check sheets, and documentation for client approval.
• Support pre-commissioning, mechanical completion, and handover activities, including preparation of MCC (Mechanical Completion Certificate) packages and final documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC Construction projects.
• Strong experience with installation and inspection of Static Equipment (Vessels, Columns, Tanks, Heat Exchangers) and Rotary Equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Motors).
• Sound knowledge of mechanical alignment, equipment erection, inspection procedures, and mechanical completion activities.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, engineering drawings, ITPs, method statements, and international industry standards.
• Experience supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities is preferred.
• Strong coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
