Job Summary

  • The EPF Engineering Director is responsible for leading all engineering activities related to Early Production Facilities (EPF) projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost effective design, execution, commissioning, and operation of facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all engineering functions associated with EPF projects from concept selection through commissioning and start up.
  • Establish engineering strategies, standards, and technical governance frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, and Project Engineering disciplines.
  • Act as the technical authority for major engineering decisions and project approvals.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Support feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detailed engineering, and execution phases.
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with project management, operations, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Support operational readiness, commissioning, start up, and performance optimization of EPF facilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future projects.
  • Interface with executive management, joint venture partners, regulatory authorities, EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum, or related discipline).
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineering certification is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Significant experience in EPF, upstream production facilities, processing facilities, or major capital projects.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and large scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project execution, facility commissioning, and production operations.
