About the Role
DataVolt is seeking an EPC Director to lead the full lifecycle procurement of Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts for data center projects. The role requires 20+ years of EPC procurement experience and deep knowledge of contract structures.

Responsibilities
- Develop project specific EPC procurement strategies, contracting models, tender routes, market engagement plans, approval gates and award strategies for large scale data center projects.
- Build and maintain a qualified EPC contractor ecosystem; identify bankable, technically capable and commercially competitive contractors across KSA, MENA, CIS and other target markets.
- Oversee development of RFIs, EOIs, prequalification packages, RFPs, instructions to bidders, evaluation methodologies, clarification logs, addenda, commercial templates and recommendation reports.
- Lead commercial evaluations, normalization, risk adjustments, negotiation strategies, tender comparison, executive award recommendations and final contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Engineering and Delivery to ensure EPC contracts, early works agreements, amendments, variation orders, guarantees, securities, LDs, claims waivers and risk allocations are properly structured and approved.
- Maintain EPC cost benchmarks, contractor price comparisons, market rate references and cost validation inputs for project budgeting, RFP evaluation and executive decision making.
- Establish auditable procurement files, evaluation traceability, approval records, DoA compliance, management responses to audit observations and corrective action plans for EPC procurement controls.
- Support management of commercial claims, entitlement reviews, variation orders, delay risk, liquidated damages, settlement strategy and contractor performance issues in coordination with Legal and Delivery.
- Advise senior leadership on EPC procurement status, risks, gaps, approval requirements, tender outcomes, negotiation positions and contract award recommendations.
Requirements
- 20+ years of EPC procurement, commercial management, contracts, construction procurement or major project procurement experience.
- Strong experience procuring EPC contractors for data centers, power plants, utilities, industrial projects, infrastructure or other mission critical facilities.
- Proven track record leading competitive tenders, commercial evaluations, negotiations and award recommendations for high value EPC contracts.
- Deep understanding of EPC contract structures, early works agreements, amendments, variations, claims, LDs, parent company guarantees, bonds, insurances and risk allocation.
- Experience working with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Delivery, lenders, sponsors, consultants and executive leadership.
- Strong knowledge of procurement governance, DoA, auditability, compliance controls and tender documentation standards.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects, contractors, negotiations and executive priorities simultaneously.
