Role Overview
The Environmental Officer manages environmental matters for assigned projects, yards, and facilities.
The role supports sustainable development, environmental best practices, and continual improvement of operational processes.
Environmental Responsibilities
- Develop environmental requirements and implement Environmental Management Plans.
- Support project HSE strategy development and environmental program information sharing.
- Monitor natural-environment impacts, identify risks, and develop adaptive mitigation strategies.
- Conduct environmental aspects and impacts analyses for working sites.
- Recommend measures covering air, water, land, noise, dust, waste, and operational processes.
- Limit, reduce, and control significant negative impacts from project activities.
- Monitor, check, and evaluate processes to maintain continual environmental improvement.
- Assist with environmental and sustainability content for service proposals, tenders, and bids.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Management.
- Six years of total experience, including five years on the job and three years in the GCC.
- Diploma in NEBOSH or lead auditor certification covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22301.
