Enterprise Architect

Job Purpose

Architecture Leadership

• Define the enterprise architecture vision, target state, multi-year roadmap, principles, standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Lead architecture governance forums, design reviews, technical decisions, and enterprise system design governance.
• Review solution blueprints, HLD/LLD documents, C4 and UML models, deployment views, integration flows, and API specifications.

Technology Strategy and Modernization

• Define standards for microservices, modular architecture, service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture, API-led integration, and domain-driven design.
• Develop Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud architecture strategy covering networks, identity, compute, storage, databases, containers, Kubernetes, and managed services.
• Drive cloud migration, legacy transformation, re-platforming, refactoring, modernization, and technical-debt reduction.

Integration, Data, and Security

• Define integration architecture for API gateways, service mesh, event streaming, message queues, pipelines, partner connectivity, and third-party integrations.
• Guide data architecture covering relational and NoSQL databases, caching, search, data pipelines, reporting, master data, governance, and analytics.
• Define secure-by-design standards for IAM, OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, identity platforms, secrets, encryption, compliance, auditability, and secure APIs.

Engineering Governance and Collaboration

• Establish non-functional requirements for scalability, performance, resilience, availability, disaster recovery, observability, maintainability, operability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, infrastructure as code, environments, releases, monitoring, logging, tracing, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate platforms and vendors through trade-off analysis, POCs, prototypes, cost assessment, and risk evaluation.
• Support portfolio planning, investment prioritization, capacity planning, dependencies, production issues, and engineering governance.
• Mentor architects, technical leads, and senior engineers and represent architecture with executives, business stakeholders, vendors, clients, and partners.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years of relevant technology experience, including hands-on engineering experience and 7+ years in architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Strong enterprise architecture experience across complex organizations, large-scale platforms, digital products, and distributed systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot, .NET/.NET Core/C#, Python backend frameworks, object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, OpenAPI, API gateways, service mesh, load balancing, service discovery, and fault-tolerance patterns.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, serverless architecture, databases, messaging, event streaming, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
• Strong security architecture, data architecture, non-functional requirements, Agile delivery, architecture documentation, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring capabilities.
