The Opportunity

• This role is for someone who hasnt left the craft behind, and uses that to manage the space between teams: where product development needs meet infrastructure roadmaps, where compliance and security requirements are anticipated, and where developer pain gets converted into platform investments.
• You know what matters before anyone tells you.
• You represent your teams infrastructure needs across the organization and Engineering Leadership trusts you to have it covered.
• Own the SRE roadmap end-to-end: set priorities independently, drive execution, and make the teams impact visible across the org
• Be the infrastructure voice for your business unit — translate upstream roadmaps into product-specific plans and advocate your teams needs back upstream
• Drive compliance, security, and infrastructure topics for your business unit — identify risks early, own the resolution before they escalate
• Shape developer productivity: engage regularly with product EMs to surface pain points and lead the initiatives that remove them
• Contribute technical credibility to architectural discussions — bring your reliability and operational experience, and carry decisions to completion
• Own your business units workstream in a company-wide infrastructure migration. This is hands-on technical leadership, not just stakeholder management
• Lead a 4–6-person generalist SRE team through 1:1s, performance cycles, and meaningful career development

Skills You Should Hodl

• Hands-on SRE or infrastructure engineering background — you contribute directly when the situation calls for it
• Fluent with cloud-native infrastructure — Kubernetes, observability stacks, CI/CD pipelines
• Prior experience managing or leading a small-to-mid-size engineering team, including full performance cycles
• Built and owned an SRE or infrastructure roadmap — you set priorities without waiting to be told
• Represents technical needs in cross-functional and leadership conversations, including at director level
