Job Description

  • RED TIC seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Director to lead our engineering teams and drive the development of cutting edge solutions.
  • In this role, you will oversee the engineering strategy, manage cross functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the engineering department, aligned with the organization’s overall goals.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, including product, operations, and business teams, to align engineering efforts with business priorities.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, processes, and methodologies to optimize efficiency and maintain high quality standards.
  • Manage resource allocation and develop talent within the engineering organization to support current and future needs.
  • Drive technological advancements and ensure the adoption of state of the art tools, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate engineering performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Address technical challenges, mitigate risks, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure project success.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large scale engineering projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
  • Hands on experience with modern engineering tools, technologies, and architectures.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long term vision with immediate priorities.
  • Strong problem solving skills and decision making capabilities in high pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment, such as a tech startup or innovation driven organization, is a plus.
