Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, repair, inspect, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, supply lines, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures in guest rooms and public areas and ensure installations comply with building codes and regulations.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and repair or replace damaged components, including leaks and blockages in tanks, pumps, risers, and water lines.
• Maintain fountains and water features through cleaning, component replacement, filtration, chemical treatment, disinfection, and flow or lighting repairs.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pump-room equipment, including pumps, valves, and control systems.
• Install and maintain pressure regulators and water-saving fixtures and systems.
• Monitor water quality, hygiene, filtration, chemical treatment, disinfection, and system integrity.
• Respond to Knowcross service orders and emergency work orders, update the communication system, and close completed requests.
• Record repairs, installations, maintenance activities, meter readings, and daily work progress in the relevant systems and logbook.
• Keep guestrooms, public areas, pump rooms, workshops, equipment, and work areas clean and operational.
• Follow the Perfect Room Program, hotel policies, departmental procedures, PPE requirements, and emergency fire procedures.
• Attend required hygiene, health, safety, induction, toolbox, and on-the-job training.

Role Requirements

• Comply with departmental policies, service procedures, hotel policies, and service standards.
• Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes, regulations, health requirements, and safety standards.
• Follow PPE, workplace safety, hygiene, and emergency fire procedures.
• Communicate priorities, delays, escalations, and daily progress with the Duty Engineer and Engineering Supervisor.
• Keep maintenance records and logbook entries up to date.
