Associate Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Check with the duty engineer for job priorities and review the logbook for follow-up jobs.
• Prepare and mix mortar, paste, cement, slaking lime and other materials according to specifications.
• Repair or replace concrete, terrazzo, quarry tile, wall tile, ceramic flooring and specialty floors.
• Perform rough and finish masonry work, including bricklaying, concrete finishing, insulation and plastering.
• Install, repair and replace ceilings, floor tiles and wall tiles.
• Use saws, grinders, drills and demolition hammers as needed.
• Demolish old masonry and install new brick, block or concrete where required.
• Respond to Knowcross service orders, assistance requests and emergency work orders.
• Close maintenance requests after completing work and communicate extended repairs to engineering supervisors.
• Maintain guestrooms and public areas in accordance with the Perfect Room Program.
• Keep electrical rooms, workshops and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, records, logbook entries and daily progress communications.

Standards and Training

• Use required personal protective equipment and maintain safe working conditions.
• Follow departmental, hotel, guest-room access and emergency fire procedures.
• Attend safety, hygiene, health, induction, on-the-job and toolbox training arranged by the hotel.
• Comply with Rosewood company policies, departmental instructions and service standards.
